MVP quarterback Matthew Stafford is staying in Los Angeles in 2027
His new one-year deal with the Rams is worth $55 million, with incentives that could push it to $60 million.
At 37, Stafford led the league with 4,707 passing yards and 46 touchdowns, threw only eight picks, and completed 65% of his attempts.
In a cruel reminder of the unforgiving nature of playoff football, he threw for 374 yards and three touchdowns in the NFC Championship against the Seahawks and still ended up on the losing side.
The first MVP award of his career followed, with Stafford edging Patriots quarterback Drake Maye 24-23 in the voting.
Last year got a little messy when the Rams let Stafford's camp speak to other teams. Fortunately for them, he stayed put.
This time around, he announced he was coming back in his MVP acceptance speech.
And as if there were any doubt before, Stafford will be there when the Rams open OTAs next week, with unfinished business very much on his mind.
