Oliver McCall’s comeback looks set to continue despite the fighter being held to a draw in his last contest.
In 2024, McCall, a former world champion who once defeated Lennox Lewis, shocked the world when he made a comeback at the age of 59 after being out of the ring for five years.
McCall defeated Stacy Frazier, and he was kept active in 2025 with two more fights with the second being a draw when he faced Carlos Reyes in Nashville.
The veteran heavyweight had been favoured to win the bout, but he was pushed all the way with the judges unable to desperate the fighters after six rounds.
With that setback now out of the way, McCall is plotting his next move, and it looks like he will be in action sooner rather than later.
Now 60 years old, McCall is showing no signs of heading towards retirement, and his promoter has made it clear that his client wants to fight again.
“He is fighting again. For real, Oliver called me personally to say he wants to go again, and I’m looking to get him a date soon on Country Box,” said Jimmy Adams, the promoter at Country Box, when speaking to World Boxing News.
No details are confirmed regarding a date or opponent, but it looks likely that boxing fans will see McCall again this year.
