Azim’s clash with Scoby will take place on the undercard of Chris Eubank Jr.’s rematch with Conor Benn at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Azim will be looking to end a frustrating 2025 on a high.

After a ninth-round stoppage win over Sergey Lipinets in February, Azim was expecting to be very active as he continues his rise towards a world title shot. Instead, he was hit with fight cancellations.

A clash with Eliot Chavez in Barnsley five months ago was cancelled on the day of the fight, and then his original opponent for Saturday’s matchup, Zaur Abdullaev, withdrew for unknown reasons with two weeks’ notice.

Luckily for Azim, he will still feature on of the biggest events of the year, taking on the America's Scoby.

With a record of 18-1 (16 Kos), Scoby has recently made a name for himself with his punching power. His last five outings have all ended by way of knockout and this danger could result in an entertaining affair in North London.

Azim claims stadium setting will be a huge disadvantage for Scoby

Azim on the other hand, is expecting his American foe to shrink on the biggest of stages in front of a 60,000-capacity crowd.

“He hasn’t fought in a massive stadium fight, he’s coming to my territory,” Azim told DAZN News.

“He’s going to be fighting at Tottenham Stadium in front of 60,000 people, he’s not going to be used to it.

“I’m used to fighting on big stages, and I’ve fought better opposition compared to the opponents he’s fought.”

The 23-year-old Azim did acknowledge that fighting in such a high-profile event is a new feeling for him.

The win over Lipinets was the first time Azim headlined a major fight night, after main eventing a ‘next gen’ style event in 2022 against Ryan Charlton, but making the step up from arena to stadiums is a different proposition.

A bigger card, a bigger crowd, this will be something Azim will have to get used to with many touting him to be a major force for British boxing in years to come.

“This is something new for me, fighting in front of that many people,” Azim continued.

“I’ve had the right preparation and know how to be calm in these situations. With this situation right now, I think I’m going to perform really well.”

Azim confirms next fight will be in February 2026

If he manages to get the win over Scoby, Azim will make up for lost time, revealing to DAZN News that he has another fight booked for February before taking part in Ramadan against a yet to be determined opponent.

This could then set up a huge fight with British rival Dalton Smith for the second half of 2026, which Azim believes will be scheduled for some point between October and December.
