However, while Brook is in talks for a summer fight with Chris Eubank Jr., Khan is expected to activate his rematch clause for a second fight with Brook.

Promoter Ben Shalom is excited about the prospect of Brook vs. Khan 2, but he believes Khan needs a tune-up fight in order to prove that he can step into the ring with the former IBF world welterweight champion once again. 

"Amir I think will fight," Shalom told Sky Sports.

"He will fight again, he wants to fight again.

"I think he has understood why it might be a tough sell to go straight back into a Kell Brook fight."

Khan said his love for boxing was non-existent in the aftermath of his fight against Brook, but Shalom believes the Olympic silver medalist wasn't fully fit and will want to end his career on a high. 

"I believe him that he was injured [against Brook]," Shalom said.

"I do believe that there were some issues with the camp and he only had 10 weeks.

"It's for him to prove he's not finished, it's for him to prove it's not just about the money, and therefore I think another fight to show that might be more appropriate before he takes on someone like Kell Brook."
