Anthony Cacace has officially pulled out of next month's bout with Ray Ford, with His Excellency Turki Alalshikh confirming Abraham Nova will take his place for the fight.
The pair were due to meet on the undercard of Moses Itauma and Dillian Whyte's heavyweight blockbuster encounter in Saudi Arabia this August on DAZN Pay-Per-View.
Cacace, fresh off arguably a career-best win against Leigh Wood in May, had been moving towards another shot at a major title in the super featherweight division.
Now however, he is out of the picture, with the sport's leading powerbroker confirming that Puerto Rico fighter Nova will make the trip to the Middle East instead.
The 31-year-old, a former challenger for the WBC super featherweight title in 2024, is looking to return to winning ways after two losses and a draw.
He will hope to spring an upset against Ford, the former WBA featherweight champion who has dispatched Orlando González and Thomas Mattice since losing to Nick Ball.
