Deontay Wilder's coach, Malik Scott, claims Anthony Joshua will be the man to bring former WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury out of retirement.

After losing to Oleksandr Usyk for a second successive time in December, Fury announced that he would be retiring from boxing.

However, with Fury having made the decision multiple times, but then returning to the ring, this recent announcement is being taken with a pinch of salt.

If Fury is indeed adamant that he is retired, it will mean the long-awaited all-British clash with Anthony Joshua will have vanished.

However, Scott is not so sure and told The Stomping Ground now is the perfect time for a Fury-Joshua fight to get made.

"He’s retired how many times now? If he’s going to come back and fight, personally I believe it is against AJ," Scott said.

"I believe this is the time."

Scott was speaking ahead of being in the corner for Ezra Taylor's light heavyweight contest against Troy Jones on Saturday night.

The pair will go head-to-head in Nottingham on the undercard of Anthony Cacace's fight with Leigh Wood which will be broadcast exclusively live on DAZN.
