On Saturday night in Detroit, Alycia Baumgardner got the rematch she needed — five years after her first loss — by beating Greece's Christina Linardatou by a wide unanimous decision.

The Bomb Baumgardner showed her pedigree as an undisputed super featherweight champion and did not give a single space to her rival to win the cards by 99-91, 98-92, and 98-92.

In front of her people and ready to continue with the rhythm she has maintained for nine fights, Alycia came out to dominate the distance, speed, and space on top of the ring, using her body and with very precise punches she forced her rival to be stuck against the ropes.

Despite the attempts to adjust during the contest, Linardatou could not find a way to get rid of her opponent's effective jab and much less block the up-and-down punishment she received since the bell rang in the first round.

Without missing a beat at any time, Alycia managed to get Linardatou into deep water and there, she disarmed her. Thus, the undisputed monarch kept her crowns for the second time and took revenge for the only fight she lost.

In the co-main event , Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medalist Andy Cruz made his professional boxing debut with a victory that made him the International Boxing Federation's lightweight, international champion. The Cuban defeated the experienced Mexican Juan Carlos Burgos by a wide unanimous decision.
