Ben Whittaker admits that his version of events surrounding the end of his controversial first clash with Liam Cameron were not believed by everybody ahead of their rematch.

The former Olympian will look to bounce back from a dramatic technical draw last October, when the pair toppled over the top rope of the ring and fell off the canvas.

Whittaker was injured and unable to continue their light heavyweight clash after the pair had clinched and gone over, with both pointing fingers at the other afterwards.

The pair will now get to settle their score on Sunday, April 20 in a blockbuster second dance, but Whittaker admits he will not have convinced all of his innocence.

"People saw what they saw, some people believe that happened and some people didn't," he told Sky Sports News. "But all I know is he ended up on top of me and I got injured.

"[Cameron] is very calculated about it, it's very nice, but at the end of the day it's a good job I've been doing gymnastics this time so if it does happen I can land on my feet.

"If the stick hits you, you are not cut out for it. Luckily, I was cut out for it. People talk about me because I am that guy, people say a lot of things about me because I am that guy.

"I am supposed to be that guy so they're talking for a reason. There will be no losing, so there's no coping."
