Sebastian Fundora will not defend his WBC light-middleweight title against Vergil Ortiz, per his promoter.
Sampson Lewkowicz disclosed that there would be no match-up for the pair after his man's latest win.
Fundora secured a sixth-round TKO against Keith Thurman on Saturday night, but Ortiz will not be next.
"Tell me which one you want," Lewkowicz was quoted by The Ring. "But Ortiz is out of the game at this moment.”
Tim Tszyu's future at middleweight could be confirmed after his fight with Errol Spence, says his manager.
Mike Altamura has not ruled out a shift to 160 pounds for the Australian later on in 2026 and beyond.
“It’s always smart, regardless of if there’s discussion points of a fight on the horizon," he told Boxing Scene.
"[Spence is] still a fight we’re in deep discussions to finalise [but we need] to keep working towards bigger-picture things."
