Former world champion and British boxing legend Carl Froch is adamant that Jake Paul and his team will never be interested in a fight with the 'Cobra'.

Paul is set to return to the ring on November 14 against Gervonta 'Tank' Davis, but this contest is in serious jeopardy after recent domestic violence allegations made against Davis.

On Saturday, Paul's Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) released a statement saying they will investigate the issue and will take necessary action when the investigation has concluded.

One possible outcome could be a change of opponent for Paul and a number of names have been linked, including former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

Froch has never been afraid to criticise Paul's venture into boxing, and has even called out the American on numerous occasions.

There is no surprise then that Froch is again being touted as an opponent for Paul and these links have intensified following a recent social media post with the caption 'The Last Dance'.

'It's f—g game over for Jake Paul' - Carl Froch confident he can beat Jake Paul

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Froch explained why he does not expect a call to come from Paul's team if Davis is indeed pulled from the main event at Miami's Kaseya Center.

“No, they won’t. Because they know it’s not even a round, one round with me, with those little 10 oz gloves on, it’s f—g game over for Jake Paul. His whole clown show will fall apart," Froch said.

“I posted a picture of myself on Instagram looking in great shape, I’m not bragging, but I keep myself in shape. I punch that bag for half an hour, I’m still feeling great.

"He can see it and even at 12 days’ notice, this would be a complete and utter mismatch, because he cannot fight.”
