Chris Eubank Jr confirms next move regarding Liam Smith rematch

Chris Eubank Jr has activated his immediate rematch clause with Liam Smith and it’s likely the pair will meet for a second time later this year.
The Brighton fighter has waited patiently to make the decision on challenging Smith once more, but he’s taken to social media to confirm that he will meet the Liverpool fighter.
Back in January, Smith caused a small upset as he stopped Eubank Jr in four rounds following a quiet start to the bout.
The contest had become very personal in the build-up, but Smith’s confidence was justified as Eubank Jr had no answer to the former world champion’s attacks before the referee sensibly intervened.
Speculation was rife in the aftermath on what Eubank Jr would do next, but he’s now made his next move official.
“This morning I activated the rematch clause via my lawyers & sent to my promoters Wasserman. Happy Valentines Day LiamBeefySmith.” wrote Eubank Jr on his official Twitter account.
