The much-hyped bout between the two dominant British heavyweights of the era has been a long-sought fight, and came close to unification and undisputed status at one point.

But with both coming off the back of losses - Fury in his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk and Joshua in a fifth-round upset against Daniel Dubois - there will be no belts in a battle.

Eubank Jr believes that could play into the narrative behind an encounter however, and feels that their recent struggles may in fact make a deal smoother to pit the two together.

"I think the fact they both lost their last fights makes it easier to make, which is great for the British public," he told The Stomping Ground.

"As fight fans, we've wanted to see that fight for so many years. Anything which can make that fight happen is great for boxing. Hopefully, they can finally get it on."

Elsewhere, Benn praised the efforts of His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, and his impact on the sport.

The former, along with his work with Riyadh Season, has helped usher in a new mega-card era, with multiple major title fights now common-place on stacked bills.

"[It has been a] game-changer," Eubank added. [It has] never been done in boxing, [and] never will be done again. I'm a big fan of the mavericks in the sport. He's one of them."
