Nigel Benn has launched an extraordinary spray at his son Conor Benn over his performance against Chris Eubank Jr ahead of their rematch, stating he was "at his worst".

The younger man lost by unanimous decision at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a bruisingly entertaining encounter, and will bid to seal his revenge live on DAZN Pay-Per-View.

At a press conference dominated by Eubank Jr.'s monologues again before the November 15 date, the elder Benn was asked how he squared the result of the first fight.

There, he suggested that his son froze under the spotlight, but also stressed that the narrow margin of defeat means he can only improve ahead of the pair's next clash.

"I was alright about it," he said. "Chris put up a good fight. But to me, that was Conor at his worst. He was throwing punches in, not even thinking about what he was doing.

"Everything that we'd practiced for, he didn't do one thing. He had him hurt so many times, and yet, he kept on showing all the punches that he was going to throw.

"That wasn't the real Conor. But I'm glad that he's done twelve rounds at middleweight. We've just got to wait for November 15th.

"We'll see the real Conor, doing the best that I know he can do. He had him wobbling three or four times, but he didn't know how to finish him. The occasion got to him."
