Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn exchanged heated words, but stopped short of any physical altercation as the former was called a "turd" by his rival at a lively press conference.

The pair will face each other for the second time this year at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on November 15, seven months on from their first bout, live on DAZN Pay-Per-View.

Eubank Jr. scored a unanimous decision victory in April to extend his family's streak over their rivals, but any suggestion their feud had cooled off was put swiftly to bed here.

Amid a near-hour-long event that primarily consisted of several inflamatory accusations by the former against Matchoom boss Eddie Hearn, the pair traded further verbal blows.

However, there was no repeat of the fracas spawned by Eubank Jr.'s decision to slap Benn with an egg at a fiery media event earlier this year, which sparked dramatic scenes.

Instead, the two men were held in a face-off with significant distance between them both, in which a low-key exchange of words was made before they were escorted away.

Benn, more composed than in the build-up to the pair's first clash, offered respect for Eubank Jr.'s skills, but pressed him on a two-month delay from the rematch's original date.

Eubank Jr. meanwhile proclaimed that he will win for a second time thanks to his superior skills, leading Benn to tell the star's new trainer Brian McIntyre that he "can't polish a turd."

"It's always hard processing a loss," the younger star addresssed. "Nobody prepares to lose. As fighters, we want to do our best. Ultimately, we want to get a victory at all costs.

"It's taught me a lot about myself. I've gone back to the drawing board to work and learn. Experience was gained. It was the lack of discipline. You can't prepare for the occasion.

"It was my first fight back here in three years.. I'll go in more disciplined, more calculated, with less emotion. When I thought I'd hurt him, I was too greedy, looking for headshots.

"The gameplan went out of the window as soon as I hit him in the third round. It felt like I was always one punch away from closing the show. He looked vulnerable, he looked old.

"I've got respect for BoMac, but you can't polish a turd. There isn't a final prediction. I'm going to go in there and do the best I can. That's experience gained and lessons learned."

Amid a rambling series of monologues, Eubank Jr. did credit his opponent for "a great fight," but stressed he is now "the people's champion" after securing the victory last time out.

"What a crazy world we live in today," he added. "My entire life as a fighter, I have been the villain and the bad guy. Fourteen years and 38 fights with people loving to hate me.

"I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I don't know if I'm that guy anymore. It's not just boxing fans that are approaching me, it's little girls, elderly folks and housewives.

"They're all wishing me the best of luck. It's humbling. Conor Benn, he put on a great fight. He went out there, and he did what I did not expect him to do, but you ain't no champ.

"You most definitely ain't no people's champ, You let Eddie Hearn blow smoke up your a—e, you're going to be even more of an embarressment than he is. I'm a better fighter.

"I am the better fighter, more experienced, more dedicated fighter. That's why he didn't beat me and that's why he won't beat me in November. He caught me with a few shots.

"But the master will be the matador. All that strategy is going to go out the window when I hit his chin, and after that, we're going to have fun in there, baby, like I always do."
