Chris Eubank Jr. accused Conor Benn of a "victory tour" following his loss in the pair's April bout, while the latter pressed for answers on their rematch date.
The pair square off again this November at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, over half a year after their first encounter thrilled fans, live on DAZN Pay-Per-View.
Eubank Jr.'s points victory emulated his father Chris Eubank Sr's success against Nigel Benn over three decades prior, with a September rematch agreeed.
But at a press conference where little of the bile had subsided between the duo, Benn stressed his excitement for a second encounter before it spilled over.
"I take my hat off to him," he said. "You need a dance partner, and he was that for me. Did I underestimate him? I did. I genuinely thought I'd knock him out.
"In three or four rounds, on my heart. But he gave me one hell of a fight and I'm excited for the next time round, to be honest. We'll find out November 15th."
Eubank Jr. accused his opponent of acting as if he was the victor however, with Benn subsequently asking him to address why their rematch was delayed.
"This was the first time in my life that I've ever seen a fighter lose and then go on some type of victory tour," the former said. "You're going on like you won."
Benn replied: "The reality is that while you were sipping through a straw, I was back in the gym getting ready for September 20th. Why were you not ready?"
Neither man came to physical blows in their contest, although Benn did call Eubank Jr. a "turd" in when addressing his new trainer Brian "BoMac" McIntyre .
