'The Destroyer' will seek to make major amends for his unanimous decision defeat in April when he returns to the same venue on November 15, live on DAZN Pay-Per-View.

Benn looked to have the edge in several of the early exchanges before Eubank Jr. ultimately hauled back control in the championship rounds - and the stats back up his victory.

Pressure on the pedal

In a lively contest, Benn showed his early pace to build up his head of steam, catching Eubank Jr. with some strong hooks to the head and body across the first half of the fight.

While his opponent comfortably out-threw him - there was not a single round where he offered more than the older man - 'The Destroyer' was superior with his power punches.

Between rounds two and four, Benn landed 21 of them, against a combined 10 for Eubank Jr. - and had he been able to press his advantage, could have dealt more damage.

Nigel Benn suggested his son failed to execute on his gameplan throughout, but if he can exert a greater pressure on the bigger hits this time, the star could have the edge.

Precision to the frame

Neither Benn nor Eubank Jr. displayed the most technical operation in their first bout - emotion arguably guided them through - but the latter's composure proved the difference.

The older star landed a remarkable 40.2% across all punches thrown through the contest, while his opponent fell narrowly behind on accuracy with a 36.3% success rate.

In particular, Benn's inability to use his jab successfully - perhaps inevitable with his smaller stature and reach - proved a key struggle for him come the championship rounds.

Between rounds 10 and 12, he landed just two, while Eubank Jr. uncorked a whopping eighty-three on his rival's body alone. Benn must find greater success on his foe's frame.

Stick to the key script

At the end of the day, as both camps go back and forth over the issue of weight, it appears that despite a brutal regime to drop down, Eubank Jr. preserved his edge in the tank.

With 912 punches thrown, his sheer output dwarfed Benn at 593, particularly across the second half of the fight - but even so, the latter was still able to find some key openings.

'The Destroyer' body-landed 53 of his 180 successful power punches - more than his opponent at 46 out of 227 - and managed to keep the contest a primarily close-fought affair.

It showed flashes of the script Benn and his father had suggested he would follow. If he can ensure Eubank Jr. does not rattle him too much, then it may be his best way forward.
