On April 30th, Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano go head-to-head in a historic event at Madison Square Garden live across the world on DAZN. 

Then there is a chance of an undisputed women's world middleweight title fight this summer between WBA, WBC, IBF champion Claressa Shields and WBO champion Savannah Marshall. 

But with both events looking to take place within months of each other, could one overshadow the other?

In the eyes of Claressa Shields, she believes Taylor and Serrano are deserving of all the attention for the undisputed women's lightweight title fight.

"Those girls are deserving of all the attention that they’re getting for this fight," Shields told The DAZN Boxing Show. 

"These girls are both skilled, powerful, accomplished.

"Seven-division world champion, Olympic gold medalist, an undisputed champ, I in no way shape or form feel bad that they are getting all the press."

Shields also claimed her fight with Marshall could be on a similar level to Taylor vs. Serrano when it comes to the significance in the history of women's boxing. 

"I’m getting a lot of press. I really believe that any fight I’m in is going to be considered one of the biggest fights in women’s history," Shields stated. 

"People want to see me in big fights, but they also just want to see me fight, it doesn’t matter who’s on the opposite side.

"With it being Savannah Marshall, it is a big fight because of the history, the way she’s been talking and stuff now.

"I think they are both great for women’s boxing."
