Mikaela Mayer has teased the chances of a super-bout with Claressa Shields, suggesting any clash would be "one of the greatest women's boxing fights" of all time.
The pair, among the dominant forces in the sport's female code, have been frequently linked to a possible encounter across their decorated careers inside the ring.
Shields defends her undisputed heavyweight title against Franchón Crews-Dezurn in an intriguing rematch this weekend, while Mayer currently has no next bout.
But the latter has further hinted an encounter may be made, revealing discussions - though she would likely need to move from super-welterweight to middleweight.
"It's not just rumours," she told DAZN News. "Our teams have been talking. [But] if we want to get this fight done, 160 [pounds] is where I'm asking her to meet me.
"We'll see. As long as we can do that, I don't have any other requirements. Meet me at 160. I think it's a seven-figure-deal fight and it can be where you want it to be.
"I think it would be one of the greatest women's boxing fights you'll ever see. I'm coming up from smaller weights. I've got the speed, the punch-count, the power.
"Maybe the girls that Claressa has fought in the past haven't had that work-rate, that speed [to] let those combinations fly the way she does. That's not the case for me.
"My power is growing more and mor every day. I think you've seen it in the last three fights, how I've developed into this weight class with Kofi Jantuah in my corner.
"He's just elevated me so much, and I feel better than I've ever felt. I'm older than I've ever been but I feel better than I've ever felt. I'm just getting better and better."
Mayer currently holds two belts at super-welterweight and has conquered three divisions thus far, while Shields has held belts in five different weight classes to date.
