Inside the Eubank and Benn fighting family tree: Who’s who in Britain’s most-famous boxing bloodlines

It is official - Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn will continue the family feud into a rematch, after the first meeting between the two in April.
After years of speculation and taunting, Eubank Jr followed in the footsteps of his father and defeated Benn.
While the fight between the sons has become a personal feud in its own right, the legacy of Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn loomed large over the event. Chris Eubank Sr defeated Conor Benn's father, Nigel, in 1990, before a rematch in 1993.
Their rivalry helped define British boxing in the 1990s, and their sons’ long-delayed clash promised another seismic moment in the sport.
Eubank Sr and Benn Sr came through the middleweight ranks in the same era. After years of barbs and callouts, they finally met in 1990. Eubank stopped Benn in the ninth round to win the WBO title, setting up a hotly anticipated rematch in 1993. That bout – watched by 42,000 fans at Old Trafford – ended in a draw.
Now, three decades on, the next generation takes centre stage live on DAZN PPV. But Benn and Eubank Jr are not the only family members with skin in the fight game.

The Eubank boxing bloodline

The Eubank name in boxing did not begin with Chris Sr. His older brothers, Simon and Peter, both fought professionally before he made his debut in 1985. But it was Chris who became the breakout star, capturing world titles in two divisions.
Of his five children, three have gone on to box professionally. Chris Eubank Jr is the most high-profile, improving his record to 35-3 after his clash with Benn. IBO champion at middleweight, he remains one of the UK’s most-recognisable fighters.
Sebastian Eubank, nicknamed the Alka Lion, also turned pro and won both of his bouts before tragically passing away from a heart attack in 2021, shortly before his 30th birthday.
Nathanael Wilson, Eubank Sr’s eldest son and half-brother to Chris Jr and Sebastian, fought under the name Banks. A welterweight, he last competed in 2020 and retired with a record of 8-2-1.
While Emily and Joe Eubank have not entered the sport themselves, Emily remains linked to boxing through her engagement to Frank Smith, Matchroom’s CEO and one of the most-powerful figures in the British fight scene.

The Eubank legacy does not end there. Chris Sr’s nephew, Harlem Eubank – son of Simon – is an undefeated welterweight with a 21-0 record. A natural 147-pounder, Harlem has already set his sights on a future bout with Conor Benn, promising another Eubank-Benn chapter.
Harlem is in action this weekend, when he faces Jack Catterall live on DAZN, Saturday, July 5. Eubank will be the underdog as Catterall makes his welterweight debut in front of a home crowd in Manchester.
The Benn boxing bloodline

The Benn family’s boxing presence may be smaller, but it burns just as brightly.
Nigel Benn, nicknamed the 'Dark Destroyer', exploded onto the scene with 22 consecutive knockouts at the start of his career. A ferocious puncher and two-weight world champion, he remains one of Britain’s most-iconic fighters.
His son, Conor Benn, carved out his own unbeaten path with 23 wins – 14 by knockout – before tasting defeat for the first time against Chris Eubank Jr in April. The younger Benn will hope to finally get a win for his family over the Eubanks when he rematches Junior on September 20th.
Conor also has a half-brother in boxing. Harley Benn, four days older than Conor, has competed at various weights and holds a 9-2 record. Nicknamed the Spartan, Harley has not fought since a stoppage loss to Faizan Anwar in May 2023. He was due to return on a Misfits card earlier this year before the event was cancelled.
