The unified WBA, IBF and WBO light-heavyweight champion brushed aside his mandatory challenger with a steady unanimous decision on the cards.

For Bivol, who last contested his gripping rematch with Artur Beterbiev back in February 2025, it represented a fine performance to shake off the cobwebs.

His challenger however will head back to the board after a second pro loss, in a division where second chances appear like they could be hard to come by.

So what comes next for both men after this one-way traffic clash? DAZN News outlines the options that face each fighter and what they may do.

Dmitry Bivol

Having dusted off the gloves and shown that he can still mix it in the ring with the best of them, three likely options await Bivol unless politics are involved.

One is a trilogy encounter with Beterbiev. The former undisputed champion has made little secret that he would like to settle the score with his rival.

The other, of course, is David Benavidez. The WBC champion may have vaulted to cruiserweight to beat 'Zurdo' Ramirez, but he wants Bivol next up too.

Then there is WBO mandatory Callum Smith, who in theory could force Bivol to relinquish his crown should he not take him on next. There's plenty to mull.

Michael Eifert

Having booked a high IBF ranking almost three years ago, the German has been made to wait for his shot at the crown after a solid European-level career.

When push came to shove however, Eifert just wasn't able to match up to Bivol's skills, and came away bruised from a performance where he was outclassed.

Defeat will drop him down the pecking order, but at just 28, Eifert still has plenty of time to regather his stock and build back towards the summit once more.

Bookers may seek to find him another international opponent, to further help shape his style. Don't be too shocked if a British light-heavyweight targets him.
