The eagerly anticipated grudge match between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn is almost here and as expected, predictions are being cast ahead of the opening bell.
Eubank Jr's clash with Benn carries many storylines, most notably this contest being the latest instalment of an iconic British boxing rivalry.
When it comes to who would be considered the favourite, some are leaning towards Eubank Jr as a result of him sharing the ring with better opposition in the past and Benn having to move up from welterweight to middleweight.
Speaking exclusively to DAZN News, former undisputed super lightweight champion Josh Taylor explained why he think Eubank Jr will triumph in British boxing's biggest fight of the year so far.
"The Eubank of the past was always a fast puncher. Connor Benn has not got many miles on the clock; it's a very interesting fight," Taylor said.
"I'm edging more towards Eubank because I think he's been in there with the better opposition.
"I know he's not been a world champion, but he's been in with genuine world-class opponents and given great accounts of himself. Those are the only guys he's really lost to."
Taylor was making his prediction ahead of Saturday, May 24 when he makes his welterweight debut against Ekow Essuman live on DAZN.
