Usyk handed Fury a first career loss by split decision in the original encounter, maintaining his own unbeaten record to become undisputed heavyweight champion.

Though such an honour is not on the line this time around, Warren nevertheless believes that while the Ukrainian has established his credentials, Fury can trump them with a win.

"I think a lot of the journalists, and what you read after [the first fight], they said whoever won it would be the best heavyweight of the twenty-first century," he told DAZN's Face-Off.

"[The winner] the first unified champion [of the era] and they go up there with all the greats of the past. I'm glad they've said that.

"Oleksandr got the result by split decision. If Tyson wins it, that's where that mantle goes, that he is the best of his generation."

Fury disagree with the notion however, suggesting that a revenge win for himself would lead to an era-defining third fight instead.

"There will be a rematch, a trilogy," he added. "If he wins one and I win one, I can’t say I’m better and he can’t say he’s better. There has to be a third one."
