In the eyes of Sergio Mora, the Mexican is ready to face the IBF world middleweight champion.

"I'm gonna say absolutely because if this if this version of Jaime Munguia goes up against good boy GGG I think it's gonna be a war," Mora said on the latest episode of JABS.

"It's gonna be exciting, but Munguia will be able to hold his own not only with the power, the combinations, but the fact that he able to take the punches as well.

"I would favour Golovkin slightly, even at 39 years old, depending on it looks with Murata as well, but right now, Munguia graduated. He's absolutely in the mix."

Boxing expert Chris Mannix also agreed with his presenting partner and believes the timing couldn't be any better for Munguia.

"I think the playing field has levelled some between Munguia and GGG about a year ago, two years ago, I would have said absolutely not Munguia is way too easy to hit and his offence isn't diverse enough," Mannix explained. 

"The Munguia I've seen over the last year who has been training with Eric Morales, he has really diversified his offensive game, it was a whole smorgasbord of offensive output. Whether it is the uppercuts the body attack the volume punches, Munguia was throwing everything short of the proverbial kitchen sink at Gabe Rosado, and he was able to do it for 12 rounds."

Mannix also revealed that he wouldn't mind seeing Golovkin vs. Munguia if a trilogy fight with Saul 'Canelo' can't be made in 2022.

"I think most of us, including us want to see GGG vs Canelo, but if that fight doesn't happen. Bring on GGG vs Munguia."
