Now questions are being asked as to whether Tsyzu is ready to challenge for a world title 154lbs.

Sergio Mora certainly thinks so and gave his reasons on JABS. 

"Yes, he is, at 21-0 they’ve developed him perfectly," Mora said.

"He’s already faced exactly what you want a contender to face, he’s faced the tough guys, he’s faced the undefeated fighters.

"He proved himself against Jeff Horn, he was able to stop a fighter that Manny Pacquiao, the great Manny Pacquiao, was unable to stop. He was able to stop Hogan to the body, something that the Mexican champion Jaime Munguia couldn’t do.

"He’s really developing and unfolding the right way.

"At this point in his career, he’s a chip off the old great block, he looks like his father in many ways, not only physically the way he resembles him, but the right hand, they don’t waste no time with that right hand.

"He is ready for a title shot, I don’t know if it’s Charlo-Castano, but maybe someone below that, a former champion makes total sense while they wait for the big fight to deal out."

Chris Mannix on the other hand saw some aspects in Tsyzu's performance against Gausha that could go against him if he was to fight for a world title belt next. 

"I don’t think he’s ready for that level of competition yet," Mannix claimed. 

"There’s a lot to like, with Tim Tszyu, he’s a tremendous offensive fighter, he averages 71 punches per round in that fight against Gausha, landed 93 body shots which is a great number, especially in that junior middleweight division.

"Offensively he’s the goods, but I watch him Sergio and he fights flat footed, there’s not a lot of head movement to him, he’s deflecting some punches, but his defence certainly needs a lot of work.

"He was fortunate in a way that he went up against someone that doesn’t have the firepower in Gausha that some of the other top guys at junior middleweight.

"As I’m watching that fight, I’m thinking if he fights Jermell Charlo he’s going to get hit with something big, if he fights Brian Castano, he’s going to have Brian Castano in his chest the entire night and I don’t know what he does with that.

"I think Tszyu needs at least one, maybe two more fights before a Charlo-Castano level of opponent."
