'The Problem Child' returns to the ring for the second time this year, following professional points wins against Mike Tyson and Julio César Chávez Jr. in his last bouts.

Now, he takes on 'Tank' in an intriguing clash on paper, which sees the latter star vault up several divisions to a catchweight of 195lbs against a naturally heavier foe.

With extra eight inches in height and reach, Paul will enter favoured to take a result - but just how can he defuse Davis and his dangerous gifts? DAZN News explains how.

Exploit a superior size advantage

The obvious answer for Paul hails from his sheer size advantage. Naturally operating between cruiserweight and heavyweight, he has the bulk and heft to stand his ground.

Against Davis, one of the smallest opponents he has faced, it is a no-brainer approach. 'Tank' may have an excellent ring IQ, but he will have to find a way to close the gap.

Throw in the extra weight that he will need to gain - weight that could slow down his counter-punch movements - and 'The Problem Child' could overwhelm on shape alone.

Control centre of the ring

Davis has found a way to ensure he stays on top in his professional career including marquee wins over Ryan Garcia and Frank Martin, striking from all angles against opponents small and large with swift pivots and intelligent jabs.

That has often laid the groundwork for his brutal knockouts, but if Paul can cut away the heart of the canvas and keep him circling around the ropes, he will find a foothold.

Again, the additional meat 'Tank' will have on his bones is nothing to be sniffed at, and could prove tougher the deeper this fight goes. 'The Problem Child' can use patience.

Beware of mind games

Across his career both as a boxer and a promoter, Paul has built a reputation for a swagger and style that gets under the skin of rivals and opponents in more ways than one.

With Davis however, he faces a challenge. Even as the former vaults up the divisions to face him, his own vast experience as a fighter means the mind games go both ways.

'The Problem Child' cannot be suckered in. If he falls for 'Tank' and his provocations, he could be wound up for easy mistakes on the night. Discipline will be key to a victory.
