Former world light middleweight champion Liam Smith has advised Derek Chisora to retire after his win over Otto Wallin on Saturday night.

Billed as his last fight in the UK, and possibly the last of his boxing career, Chisora wound back the clock and beat Wallin convincingly by unanimous decision.

His looping right hand landed with ease and even managed to knock down his Swedish foe in both the ninth and 12th rounds.

Following the win, Chisora called for fights against Anthony Joshua, Daniel Dubois and Oleksandr Usyk, and the crowd at Manchester's Co-Op Live was eager to see 'Del Boy' face all three.

However, there are some who are calling for Chisora to retire and one of those is Smith who believes the heavyweight should go out on a high.

"I don’t think them fights will happen; I also don’t want to see them fights for Derek," Smith told talkSPORT.

"It’s plain to see now that he is past his best, them heavyweights don’t punch lightly.

"I would like to see him go out on a high, go out on that win, but if he does fight again, it will probably be the winner of Joe Joyce and Dillian Whyte."

Dillian Whyte and Joe Joyce are set to headline the first Queensberry Promotions fight card broadcast worldwide on DAZN which takes place on April 5 at the Co-Op Live.
