Liam Smith is open to a third fight with Chris Eubank Jr as he continues to plot his next move.
The Liverpool man has been inactive since losing to Aaron McKenna last April and in recent weeks he has been linked to a showdown with Eddie Hearn’s prospect, George Liddard.
At his peak, Smith was one of Britain's best fighters as he reigned as world champion at super-welterweight and faced some of boxing’s biggest names including Canelo Alvarez and Jaime Munguia.
As well as facing the biggest names in America, Smith has also competed in major fights in his home country including two massive contests with Chris Eubank Jr.
Smith stopped Eubank Jr in 2023 but in an immediate rematch, the Brighton man gained revenge as he halted Smith in round ten.
Eubank Jr has since gone 1-1 with Conor Benn, and with talk of a trilogy meeting between those two cooling down, Smith would welcome a third fight with his greatest rival.
“Eubank and Conor Benn’s not having a trilogy, I believe that Eubank has gone to 168lbs,” said Smith when speaking to IFLTV .
"I’ll fight him at 168lbs if he wants. It’s 1-1, who the f--k leaves it at 1-1 but yeah, I think I would fight him at any weight to be honest with you.
"As long as I was fit and ready, I would fight him at any weight.”
