By September 19, it will be over 11 years since Floyd Mayweather Jr. beat Manny Pacquiao. On Monday, during Inside the Ring on DAZN, it was announced that the boxing legends will meet again at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

After the 2015 fight, Pacquiao claimed a shoulder injury affected his performance and was part of the reason he came up short. The confidence appears to be different heading into the rematch.

“I’m very excited for the rematch. This is my moment to prove it,” Pacquiao told Boxing Scene.

“I know I can improve my strategy this time."

Some people feel Mayweather is only returning because he needs the money, and the lure of millions upon millions of dollars was too good to pass up to the point that the legend is willing to risk his undefeated record. Instead, the "Pac-Man" believes legacy is the catalyst for his comeback.

“It’s the pressure from the fans: How can he claim he’s the GOAT (greatest of all time)," Pacquiao said. "In an analysis of the categories of boxing history, in which one can he say he’s the only one? He’s not the only one to retire undefeated.”

Mayweather always insists that he's "TBE", The Best Ever. Boxing's only eight-division champion isn't buying that sentiment and feels his accomplishments are nothing to sneeze at.

“I’m not insisting I’m the GOAT," Pacquiao said. "It’s hard to raise up your own chair, but claiming those eight divisions is the hardest record in boxing, and the four decades of title fights has never been done."
