Skye Nicolson will bid to keep her hopes of two-weight world champion status on track this week against Mariah Turner.
The Queenslander, one of the marquee faces across the sport's lighter classes, has long since proved her ring bona-fides.
But having reigned as WBC featherweight champion previously, matters are a little more opaque four pounds lower down.
Currently the WBC interim super-bantamweight title holder, Nicolson is pursuing a crack at undisputed ruler Ellie Scotney.
Yet with plenty of moving parts in play, the former Tokyo 2020 contender may have her work cut out in landing the Briton.
Now, as she heads to Melbourne this week to face Turner, can Nicolson keep her showdown on track with this latest test?
Having lost her featherweight crown to American fighter Tiara Brown last March, Nicolson made the call to switch tracks.
Since moving to super-bantamweight, she has made a composed start to life, if perhaps against lower-calibre foes too.
Rapid victories over Carla Camila Campos Gonzales, and then Urvashi Singh, helped her find her legs in the division.
But a win over seasoned two-weight champion Yulihan Luna in December truly set her super-bantamweight credentials.
That victory in Stockton earned Nicolson the WBA interim strap - and in theory, a shot at Scotney for her crown too.
The Briton has changed her tune since last year. In January 2025, Scotney was more than happy to call out Nicolson.
Now the former has all the belts and the latter is in the same division however, it appears to be a different story instead.

Scotney voiced her desire to take a mega-bout with veteran Amanda Serrano at featherweight earlier this month instead.
"She is a superfight," she informed Sky Sports News. "Of course [I] would love to share the ring with someone like that."
A fight between the two is far from a formality - but with both stars at Most Valuable Promotions, it could be on the table.
If Scotney does vacate, then Nicolson happens to already be placed in the best spot to reap the benefits of her departure.
As interim champion, she should be upgraded by the WBC to the full super-batamweight title, securing two-weight status.
Having earned her featherweight stripes before, it may prove to be a less-than-satisfactory way for Nicolson however.
If Scotney does not vacate though, the Australian and backers Matchroom Boxing will undoubtedly push hard for a bout.
While the Briton is active with all the belts on the table, she will be in hot demand, and few are better placed to face her.

All this still depends on Nicolson getting past Turner however - and the former will not take this latest test lightly too.
Win however, and the world might prove to be nearly her oyster again as she sets out to tick off her latest dreams.
