The next move of Terence Crawford is still undecided, and the Nebraska man would not be pushed on whether he will move to middleweight when speaking to Max Kellerman.

On Saturday night, 'Bud' jumped up to super-middleweight and registered the biggest win of his career with a points victory over Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas.

The Nebraska man started the bout a slight underdog, but he made a mockery of those pre-fight odds as he used his skillset to frustrate the Mexican before taking a narrow verdict on the scorecards.

In the immediate aftermath of the contest, the attention switched to what could come for Crawford if he decides to carry on boxing.

One potential option is a move to 160lbs where the likes of Janibek Alimkhanuly and Carlos Adames are currently the best fighters.

The former is widely seen as the division's best fighter and would also likely represent the sternest test for Crawford, but is the new super-middleweight champion interested in adding middleweight glory to his growing list of honours?

“There’s nothing on my mind at this moment,” said Crawford when he was asked by Kellerman on Inside the Ring whether a move down to middleweight is possible.

“I’m resting up. I ain’t spoke to my team yet. I’m just going to enjoy the victory and all the hard work I’ve put into this.”

“I don’t know. It’s a thought, but it’s not a fact yet. Right now, it’s just a thought.”
