Family always plays a huge part in boxing and for Callum, Liam, Paul and Stephen Smith, they have been there for each other every step of the way.

However, it never gets any easier for the Smith family when one of their own puts on the gloves.

Speaking exclusively to DAZN, Paul Smith made it clear the brothers are not there to party.

"Fight week we're all there."

"We're not going to have a drink, we're here to help."

For Liam, the family bond is crucial and the support is vital whatever the situation.

"I know the three of them inside out.

“I’ve been around them in every situation, the wins, the losses and I just think nobody knows anybody better”

But when it comes to watching the fights themselves, the emotions are something the Smith family can rather do without.

"I hate it, to be honest," Liam stated.

"I'm buzzing as soon as it's over because I get crazy nervous for them."

Stephen echoed similar feelings and believes watching his brothers fight will always be the hardest thing when it comes to boxing.

“When the bell goes, the nerves are still there, the nerves only go when the fight finishes.”

“That’s the biggest difference and that’s why I’ll always say it’s harder watching your brothers."

While nerves takeover the Smith brothers at ringside, their presence provides a sense of calm and familarity for Callum, who has shared the ring with boxing's biggest star, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.

"You can put me anywhere in the world, any venue, if I've got my three brothers, I feel like I'm at home in my mum's living room."

While the three other Smith brothers will be eagerly awaiting the final bell in Liam's upcoming fight with Anthony Fowler this Saturday, a win would not just be a huge triumph for the family, but also a significant moment for the north side of Liverpool which they so proudly represent.
