Usyk struggled for large portions of his fight with Rico Verhoeven in Egypt, but after finally making the breakthrough in round 11 when he floored the Dutchman, Mark Lyson, the third man, jumped in following another attack when Verhoeven was about to be saved by the bell. 

The decision from Lyson has been criticised by many of the sport’s followers, but was it the wrong call?
