A big fight was on the horizon tonight from Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday night as Vergil Ortiz Jr. put the interim WBC junior middleweight title at stake against Erickson Lubin which you could have seen exclusively on DAZN .
Much had been made about an Ortiz win meaning a 2026 mega-fight with Jaron "Boots" Ennis. But a win by Lubin would have shaken things up and put him in the same pole position.
Ortiz held up his end of the bargain as he ran through Lubin to stop him at the 1:30 mark of the second round.
