Will Amanda Serrano retire after Katie Taylor rematch?
Watch Serrano vs. Cruz Feb. 4 live on DAZN

IBF, WBC and WBO women's featherweight champion Amanda Serrano returns to New York for the first time on Saturday night since her epic clash with Katie Taylor.

She takes on WBA title-holder Erika Cruz live on DAZN with the winner becoming the undisputed champion at 126lbs, and it's something which Serrano has craved before crossing paths with Taylor.

"My whole dream is to become undisputed at featherweight, my weight, and I wanted this before I had the fight with Katie Taylor," Serrano told The DAZN Boxing Show.

"I would love to have the rematch with Katie Taylor, that’s the only time I would go up another division."

There were rumours that Serrano could potentially take on unified women's super featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner, but the Puerto Rican is fully focused on Saturday night and then a second clash with the undisputed women's lightweight champion.

"We don’t know what the future holds, but right now my goal is to become undisputed champion and then the rematch with Katie Taylor," Serrano responded when asked whether Baumgardner features in any of her future plans.

If the rematch with Taylor happens, some think this could be Serrano's last fight after a long and successful career, but the 34-year-old was quick to shutdown any retirement talk and teased a third with Taylor.

"I don’t know, they have been talking about the trilogy before the first fight so she came to New York, she beat me, I go to Ireland and beat her, so maybe Puerto Rico?"
