Mexican star and unified cruiserweight champion Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez will defend his WBA and WBO belts tonight live on DAZN PPV.
He will face mandatory challenger Yuniel Dorticos on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr where a win could set up a showdown with IBF champion Jai Opetaia.
After beating Arsen Goulamirian in March 2024 to become the WBA cruiserweight champion, Ramirez went straight for another 200lb world champion in the form of WBO title holder Chris Billam-Smith.
The two would meet the following November in Riyadh with this contest looking like a close one on paper. In the end, Ramirez made it look easy in a 12-round unanimous decision win.
