After losing the second Test in Brisbane, England are 2-0 down and defeat at the Adelaide Oval would see Australia win the series outright. 

England captain Ben Stokes and the rest of his team have resisted calls from the outside to make any wholesale changes, with just the one being made in the form of pace bowler Josh Tongue replacing Gus Atkinson.

Compared to other stadiums on this tour, England often perform well in Adelaide and will be hoping they can keep the series alive, but with the Aussies full of confidence and the famous urn within their grasp, it will be easier said than done.

Third Ashes Test: What are the session times? 

The third Ashes Test begins on Tuesday evening with the first ball set to be bowled at 11:30pm GMT. The match is scheduled for five days. 

There will be three sessions and the timings can be found below. 

• Morning session: 11:30pm - 1:30am GMT
• Afternoon session: 2:10am GMT - 04:10am GMT
• Evening session: 04:30am GMT - 6:30/7am GMT

Where is the third Ashes Test match? 

The game will take place at the Adelaide Oval which has a capacity of 53,500 people. 

This will be the 34th time England have played at the stadium, but their last win here was in 2010 when Andrew Strauss' team triumphed Down Under. 

Ashes 2025-26: Prediction for third Test

Many England fans will be hoping their team will change their approach, replacing the high octane 'Bazball' for a more traditional and less exciting style of Test cricket. 

While Stokes and co. have alluded to some stern conversations in the aftermath of the Brisbane defeat, I don't see much changing. 

A week or so's break is not enough time to completely change a team strategy, so while I expect England's batting for example to still be a bit risky, hopefully those wasteful shots are not being made within the first few overs of an innings.

The bowling also needs to have some bite to it with the intensity from the first Test non-existent in Brisbane. Maybe the inclusion of Josh Tongue will give the bowling unit a much-needed jolt. 

England will put up a better fight compared to the second Test, but with Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon returning to Australia's lineup, the Aussies will still be too much for England and will wrap up the series before Christmas.
