The Guinean-Dutch fighter faced the ultra-aggressive and crowd favorite, Bahram Rajabzadeh, in the second round of The Last Heavyweight Standing tournament. Both had already won a bout earlier in the evening, ‘The Golden Wolf’ taking a quick first-round knockout while Kromah earned a dominant win over three rounds. 

After his earlier victory, Kromah called out Rajabzadeh and the audience delivered a hail of boos to the 25-year-old. He was booed again during his walkout and intro, while the Azerbaijani Rajabzadeh was cheered even during video packages in the arena.

‘The Golden Wolf’ has quickly become one of the biggest names in GLORY Kickboxing. 

He fights with unrelenting aggression, always aiming for a knockout finish with his hands, feet, or knees. Having only made his organizational debut twenty-five months ago, he has already competed in an incredible fourteen bouts. Along the way, he’s competed in three tournaments, across heavyweight and light heavyweight. The Last Heavyweight Standing Grand Prix is his fourth tournament with GLORY.

Mory Kromah made his entry in GLORY Kickboxing after going undefeated as a champion in Enfusion. Having made his debut in 2024, he has quickly made a name for himself, built around his technical proficiency. At 6’5”, he effectively uses his reach advantage with his long legs and arms, delivering combinations which mix high and low, featuring kicks, knees, and punches. But he is best known for his flying attacks.

With the sold-out audience in Rotterdam squarely behind ‘The Golden Wolf’ Rajabzadeh, he went to war immediately. He charged Kromah and threw a flurry of punches. The two threw with such fury that an off-balance Kromah fell to the ground, and an emotional Rajabzadeh tried to knee his guard. Next, the two entered the clinch. It happened again, Kromah, off balance, fell to the ground, and Rajabzadeh attacked the guard of his grounded opponent.

‘The Black Ghost’ attempted to attack his opponent by punching around the referee, who was doing his best to separate the two men. After these rule-breaking moments, ‘The Golden Wolf’ was deducted a point. 

The Rotterdam audience recognized the need for clean sports and changed sides. Rajabzadeh was now being booed, and the name “Komah” was being chanted. 

The two engaged again, Kromah used long kicks and knees against the charging Azerbaijani. Rajabzadeh backed up and looked to disengage, and Kromah landed a thunderous flying knee to knock out ‘The Golden Wolf’ cold. Rajabzadeh was slumped in the ropes as the audience yelled for a new hero: Mory Kromah.

The moment has gone viral. From social media and group chats, the knockout and entire ninety-second bout is easily the best moment of combat sports in 2025.

But let’s not miss the bigger picture. With three victories in this heavyweight tournament, Kromah, a natural light heavyweight, has advanced to the finals of the grand prix. 

Only four men remain, and they will throw down later this year: ‘Cookie’ Tariq Osaro, ‘Big Sexy’ Nico Horta, the French-Moroccan Anis Bouzid, and, kickboxing’s newest star, ‘The Black Ghost’ Mory Kromah.
