Jake Paul's venture into the world of combat sports so far has been a successul one.

After becoming one of the biggest names in professional boxing, he is set to send shockwaves through MMA after joining the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

'The Problem Child' has signed a multiyear contract with the PFL and will compete in the new Super Fight division on pay-per-view.

While a date is yet to be announced for Paul's MMA debut, he is planning to fight at some point in 2023.

This new venture with business partner Nakisa Bidarian will see the Super Fight division attract fighters who can instantly draw in paying customers rather than those looking to win an established championship.

Fighters in this new division will earn at least 50% of the PPV revenue which is signigicantly higher than the UFC where fighters earn less than 20% of the total revenue for an event and has been something Paul has been critical of on social media.

One of the names Paul has often been linked with when it comes to MMA is Nate Diaz and in an interview with PFL following this announcement, the 25-year-old revealed that he has offered Diaz a two-fight deal to face him in a boxing match and then in the PFL's Super Fight division.

"I know this is such a tough sport and it's not going to be easy. But if I could do it in boxing, I could do it in MMA. I'm so dedicated to this that I offered Nate Diaz a two-fight deal," Paul said.

"First, we box. Then six months later we fight MMA in the PFL 'smart cage' and lay it all on the line. If that's not balls, then I don't know what is. Nate Diaz, I'm down to fight you in your own damn sport. It's a two-fight deal, let's make this happen."

Paul's most recent combat sports win came against an MMA legend last October when he managed to beat Anderson Silva on points.
