Colby Covington challenges Leon Edwards for the UFC welterweight championship at UFC 296 tonight.

This will be Covington's third shot at winning the welterweight championship, after defeats to then-champion Kamaru Usman in 2019 and 2021. The American was last in the Octagon in March 2022, when he beat Jorge Masvidal via unanimous decision.

For Edwards, this will be his second defence of the welterweight strap, after claiming it from Usman in Aug. 2022 then winning the rematch in March earlier this year.
