So, it was only fitting that DAZN News asked the MMA legend about recently experiencing a wrestling ring again.

Last month, Rousey made a shocking appearance at AEW Revolution 2026 in Los Angeles in support of her friend Marina Shafir, who fought ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm.

Rousey relished in that experience, while also saving a bit of that promo-style hot mic for a jab at WWE ahead of WrestleMania 42 weekend.

“[Shafir] goes out and kills it against Toni Storm and then I get to walk out and instead of being PG-rated WWE, I get to go and flick off all the fans booing me — it’s incredible, an incredible feeling,” Rousey told DAZN News amidst a pool of reporters at Palladium Times Square, where she was promoting Most Valuable Promotions’ May 16 fight, pitting her against MMA pioneer Gina Carano in Los Angeles.

With both her fight and the AEW event taking place in the same city, Rousey was glad the stars aligned for that March 15 appearance.

“It just happened to work out that it was her first pay-per-view ever,” Rousey told DAZN News of friend Shafir, “and I happened to be in town and happen to have a fight coming up.”

The appearance does not mean a full-time return to pro wrestling, though situations shared with friends — like the spot with Shafir — might help to lure Rousey back from time to time.

The former WWE RAW Women’s Champion and two-time SmackDown Women’s Champ advised while she doesn’t think she’ll be making any long-stretch runs that "I could be making some run-ins.”

Her going scorched earth on Harrison during Wednesday's press conference was proof that Rousey still has it.
