Bromley lead cut to two points after draw at Harrogate
Bromley’s lead at the top of League Two was trimmed to two points after they could only play out a goalless draw at relegation-threatened Harrogate.
The title hopefuls were fortunate to escape with a point having been second best throughout Saturday’s contest at the Exercise Stadium.
The Sulphurites, who remain stuck in the drop zone despite taking eight points from the last 12 on offer, had much the better of the opening period.
Chanse Headman, Cathal Heffernan, Jack Evans and Reece Smith all had efforts at the Bromley goal, with Ellis Taylor also denied by a fine Jude Arthurs block.
At the other end, a Michael Cheek strike that flew wide was all the visitors could really muster.
Harrogate continued to press for an opener during the early stages of the second half, with Tobias Brenan curling narrowly wide before Smith struck a post and Taylor was denied by Ravens stopper Grant Smith.
Nicke Kabamba did nod into the side-netting for Bromley late on, but that was as close as they came.
