The 22-year-old does not take his success for granted, and on Friday he shared how he deals with the pressures of playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world while also integrating himself at a top national team.

The Barcelona and Spain midfielder took part in a live, interactive DAZN experience on Friday that allows fans to ask questions directly via a new, groundbreaking app feature powered by The Residency, connecting fans with their football heroes.

When asked how he handles the massive expectations of being a Barcelona starter, Lopez just said he does so "naturally and proudly" and takes each moment as they come.

"I know what it means to play for Barça and in every game, I try to live up to this enormous responsibility," Lopez wrote.

"But without ceasing to enjoy every moment."

Lopez burst onto the scene for Barça as a 20-year-old in 2023 after a successful loan spell at Linares in the Spanish third tier, debuting for the Blaugrana in 2023 before going on to make 42 appearances across all competitions that season. He played even more during the 2024-25 campaign, helping Barcelona win the domestic double, and has continued on as a key part of the famous club during the current season.

With Barça in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and Spain preparing for this summer's FIFA World Cup, there is no shortage of motivation for a young player who has already tasted so much success.

"Win everything with Barça and Spain," Lopez replied when asked by chat user zé pedro54092 about his goals. "That we have a great summer with the World Cup ahead of us."
