Isak has become the subject of desire for many top clubs throughout Europe, Chelsea included. The Swede has been near the top of the Premier League's Golden Boot race all season long, and has been linked to big money moves to the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Barcelona, but former Chelsea midfielder Petit feels the 25-year-old would seamlessly transition into the squad at Stamford Bridge should the Blues successfully land his services.

“Alexander Isak has been targeted by so many top clubs for a reason and although he could cost £150million, he has the right character and personality and would be guaranteed goals," Petit told CasinoHawks.

“What is important is the character behind the player and I think Isak has the right desire, commitment and values. That is exactly what Chelsea need.

“He is playing at a club with big ambition in Newcastle, but they are not among the elite clubs in Europe and even if they reach the Champions League, Isak may want a new challenge.

“Maybe he wants something bigger than that.”
