Nottingham Forest were on the losing end of another Premier League match on Sunday, falling 1-0 at Brighton & Hove Albion.

It was the third consecutive league defeat for the club, who are just three points above the relegation zone with 10 matches left to play.

While the performances haven't been there for Forest, manager Nuno Espirito Santo expressed frustration at the match officials for what he felt was a red-card worthy offence by Brighton's Jakub Moder in the second half of Sunday's match.

Moder downed Forest right back Neco Williams with a heavy challenge in the 67th minute and received a yellow card for the foul. A VAR check determined no further action was necessary by the on-field officials, much to the dismay of Espirito Santo.

"It is a red card," Espirito Santo said. "What is going on? Someone wants to put us down?

"We received the referees, they apologise, they make mistakes. VAR stops the game, it is a clear red card. It is week after week. That is enough.

"We come to a point that we try to understand, we don't judge them, terrible mistakes costing us points. You go into the dressing room and say 'let's keep on going' but it is enough. We want better decisions."

Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White echoed his manager's sentiment, bemoaning a perceived unjust number of decisions that have gone against the club this season.

"It is getting ridiculous. Honestly ridiculous," Gibbs-White said. "The amount of decisions that have gone against us is outrageous this season.

"I don't want to speak so much because I could get into trouble, so many things I want to say. In two days time we will get an apology again."
