Premier League side Nottingham Forest were held to a 2-2 draw by Blackpool, who play in third-tier League One, on Sunday.

The teams faced off in the third round of the FA Cup, with Forest entering as big favourites at home. Instead, it was the underdog visitors who claimed an early 2-0 lead which the hosts fought back from to draw, which means a replay will occur at Blackpool later this month.

While Forest will be relieved to have not lost to the lower division club, they will also rue their defensive effort against a side that had just 28% possession.

For Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo, a lack of decisiveness caused his side to fall behind early.

"We are disappointed with the way we started the game and conceded," Espírito Santo told BBC Sport. "It's not the way we want to do things. We were too slow. We conceded very easily.

"It makes our task much harder. Credit to the boys for the way we reacted. We had chances to finish the game."

Espírito Santo refused to blame the result on the busy fixture list, instead focussing on his side's lack of chance creation and finishing as the main culprit.

"There were not too many spaces," he said. "We didn't have the speed of the ball to create that. I would not say it was fatigue. We couldn't find the right passing lines to break through Blackpool. The issue was not what we couldn't do, but what we conceded.

"We had good chances, and there were good saves from their goalkeeper. This is positive and how we want to do things, we just need to be more clinical."
