When does the 2022-23 Serie A start?

The World Cup in November has forced leagues worldwide to drastically change their schedules, and Serie A is no different.

As such, Serie A will start August 13 this year, more than a week earlier than the previous campaign.

How will the World Cup impact the Serie A season?

The 2022 World Cup starts on November 18 and runs until December 18. Serie A will institute a lengthy break to allow for focus to shift to the action in Qatar.

Serie A clubs will play their last fixtures before the tournament gets underway on the weekend of November 13, 2022. The league will resume January 4, 2023.

The final matchday will take place June 4, 2023.

When will the fixtures for the new Serie A season be released?

The complete schedule for the 2022-23 Bundesliga will be released in early July.
