"I will win this fight because it means more to me than my opponent," Aarons says in a video uploaded to DAZN X Series' YouTube page Wednesday. "I've made this my entire life. 

"This year, literally every single day I've woke up with August 31 in mind," he continued. "He just accepted it on short notice which to be fair — fair play to him for doing that — but he is not dedicated enough as me to win this fight."

While Aarons expects Simpson to be "quite fit," he vows the former Premier League player's athleticism won't compensate for the diligence that he's put into preparing for this fight.

"It's no match for how I've been training for the past seven months," Aarons said. "I've been mentally preparing for years, physically preparing for seven months."

This is similar banter that Aarons and Simpson exchanged sitting face-to-face as part of DAZN's FACE OFF recently with KSI serving as the moderator.

"I don't think you want it as much as me because the consequences that can happen to me, won't happen to you," Aarons told Simpson directly. "I want this more than you."

He also questioned the former right-back about boxing: "Is this long term for you? Are you going to be on Misfits for years and years?"

To that, Simpson shot back "why not?" before relishing in this experience.

"I've enjoyed every second up to now," Simpson clarified. "I didn't realize I'd love fighting this much."
