Derek Chisora names crossover superstar as potential final opponent before retirement

Derek Chisora just confirmed a February bout against Otto Wallin this week, but he's already making plans for his next — and final — fight.
The 40-year-old will take on Wallin in a Feb. 8 fight announced on Wednesday, after a proposed contest against Jarrell Miller fell through. The Wallin fight will be Chisora's 49th professional bout, setting the table for a blockbuster 50th fight that will close the door on his almost 20-year career.
While speaking to talkSPORT Drive on Wednesday, Chisora reiterated his desire to end his pro boxing career after his 50th fight, and he teased a number of potential opponents for the farewell bout.
Among the options is Dillian Whyte, who defeated Chisora in 2016 and 2018. Chisora proposed a "bougie" event at Royal Albert Hall for a potential trilogy bout against "The Body Snatcher."
Another option Chisora presented was a potential fight against MMA superstar Francis Ngannou, who has stepped into the boxing ring against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua in the recent past. Zimbabwe-born Chisora said he's making a "push" to face Cameroonian fighter Ngannou in their home continent.
"I want to push [for] that [fight]," Chisora said.
"If I can get Francis Ngannou in Africa for our own African people to see us perform, instead of us performing in European countries and Saudi [Arabia], it will give just a little bit of a taste to our young and upcoming talent in Africa to see African warriors go at it."
Chisora holds a 35-13 record through 48 fights, with 23 KOs. Ngannou is 0-2 in boxing and 18-3 in MMA, with heavyweight title reigns in the UFC and PFL.
