At the tender age of 23, Devin Haney is already on the brink of history.

The WBC lightweight champion is set to make the trip to Australia to face WBA, WBO, and IBF titleholder George Kambosos Jr. in an undisputed clash on June 4. Speaking about the fight on The DAZN Boxing Show, Haney talked about how his preparations have changed ahead of this career-defining fight.

"My training is on a totally different level," Haney claimed.

"I’m training three-four hours, and I don’t even get tired. I just can’t stop because I’m ready. Only six people have done this in history, and I’m 23-years-old, and I can be doing it now so early in my career. I can only thank God for it, but the work’s still got to get done."

Kambosos is a fighter who isn't afraid to get inside the minds of his opponents, and it played a huge part in his win over Teofimo Lopez last November. Haney made it clear that he would be looking to take away any attributes that could give the Australian unified champion the edge.

"They say that I’m boring, but Devin Haney does what Devin Haney does good," Haney said.

"It’s hard to get me off my game. I’ve been doing this for so long. But what I’ll do is handicap George of his best things, his best attributes, the things he does best."

If Haney does indeed get past Kambosos and become the undisputed lightweight champion of the world, the American will show no signs of slowing down when it comes to future fights.

"I want to make the [Vasily] Lomachenko fight," Haney stated.

"I want to make the Gervonta Davis fight. Ryan Garcia is still on the list. I want to make the biggest fights happen."
