Skye Nicolson kept her undisputed super-bantamweight hopes on track after a wide victory over Mariah Turner in Melbourne.
The Queenslander touched down in Victoria for the first defence of her WBC interim crown as the heavy pre-bout favourite.
Those expectations proved to be well-founded in another assured display from the onetime featherweight world champion.
Nicolson controlled the pace at Melbourne Pavilion throughout, taking a 100-89, 100-89 and 100-89 unanimous decision.
Victory keeps up the pressure on current ruler Ellie Scotney, with the latter currently mulling their own future in the division.
For Turner however, it marked a second career defeat and will leave her with questions after failing to capitalise on her shot.
From the start, Nicolson sought to make the most of her headline opportunity, alternating body work with flashes of speed.
Her opponent often attempted to make purchase with her head movement, with officials forced to split the duo frequently.
Tempers flared in a lively sixth where Nicolson appeared to stun Turner, before she seemingly tumbled into the ropes herself.
Ultimately however, with her foe bloodied, the former was able to keep herself smartly in check and build out her latest win.
